Tutoring Code of Conduct

  1. Respect and Professionalism:
    – Both tutors and tutees should treat each other with respect and courtesy.
    – Maintain professionalism in all interactions, including punctuality for sessions, and respectful communication.
  2.  Confidentiality and Privacy:
    – Personal information shared during sessions should be kept confidential and not disclosed without consent.
    – Respect each other’s privacy and personal boundaries.
  3. Communication:
    – Communication should be clear, honest, and appropriate.
    – Use designated channels for all tutoring-related communication.
  4. Preparation and Participation:
    – Tutors are expected to be well-prepared for each session with necessary materials and lesson plans.
    – Tutees should be ready to engage in the session with any required materials and completed assignments.
  5.  Academic Integrity:
    – Uphold high standards of academic integrity. Tutors should not complete assignments for tutees.
    – Encourage and practice honest and ethical academic behavior.
  6. Environment and Conduct:
    – Maintain a conducive learning environment, free from distractions and disruptions.
    – Inappropriate language, behavior, or attire is not permitted.
  7. Feedback and Improvement:
    – Both parties should be open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.
    – Regularly discuss progress and areas for improvement.
  8. Technical Requirements and Online Etiquette (if applicable):
    – Ensure a stable internet connection and functioning equipment for online sessions.
    – Adhere to good online etiquette, including appropriate screen sharing and respecting online session times.
  9. Handling of Disputes and Concerns:
    – Any disputes or concerns should be addressed respectfully and promptly.
    – Contact TutorBug administration for assistance if issues cannot be resolved directly.
  10. Adherence to Policies:
    – Both tutors and tutees are required to adhere to all policies and guidelines set forth by TutorBug.
    – Violations of this code of conduct may result in suspension or termination of tutoring services.
